The Boat That Rocks Easter Menu

Easter Sunday is April 8th in 2012. Sam and his team will be putting on a lavish feast for all of our guests this year.

Did you know that in Britain Easter occurs at a different time each year, observed on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the first day of Spring. This means that the festival can occur on any Sunday between March 22nd and April 25th. Not only is Easter the end of the Winter it is also the end of Lent, traditionally a time of fasting in the Christian calendar. It is therefore often a time of fun and celebration!

Starters

Whole Avocado Halved and stuffed with Lobster and Crayfish Tails, finished with a Marie Rose Foam and Micro Leaves

Chicken Liver and Smoked Bacon Parfait, Earl Grey Jelly and White Truffle Tuille

Spring Asparagus Soup finished with Parmesan Cream

Main Course

Rack of Abbotsbury Lamb with a Rosemary Crust, Chateaux Potatoes, Savoy Vegetable Parcel, Confit Baby Leeks and a Berry Jus

Saddle of Portland Bunny stuffed with Prunes and served with Gratin Potatoes, Braised Baby Gem and Brandy Reduction

Oven Roasted Halibut Supreme with Pomme Puree, Spring Asparagus, Cauliflower and White Truffle Puree and Parma Ham Crisp

Leek, Wild Mushroom and Blue Vinny Tart served with Chateaux Potatoes, Buttered Baby Turnips, New Season Carrots and a Madeira Jus

The Olympics 13th July – 15th September

During the 2012 Olympics, The Boat That Rocks will be utilised to feed The Olympic Family and VIP’s coming to catch up on their nations sailing. The team at The Boat will not be losing their jobs – we will be taken over by the Olympic Authority who will place us within their organisation.
