Just place your order at the bar and sit back and enjoy the sun and the views. There is no need to book we have seating for approximately 200 people.
Newspapers are available inside the restaurant to compliment that ultimate first coffee of the morning experience.
Whilst you sit out and have your meal or drink there are many places of interest that you will be able to see.
Portland Castle - one of Henry VIII’s finest coastal forts, built in the early 1540s to protect against French and Spanish invasion. Now open to the public, the site is run and managed by English Heritage.
“The Hermanator” (Lynx XZ250)
On loan from the Navy is The Lynx Helicopter nicknamed “The Hermanator” (Lynx XZ250) entered service in 1978, and remained in service for 32yrs and 8days, clocking up 7, 667hrs and 10mins air time.
A pair of Phoenixes known as The Mulberry Docks – the only ones in this country, the rest were left in France.
Tom the Torpedo on display was donated to Portland Marina by the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport and it is a Mk8, which was the mainstay submarine torpedo of World War 2.
The Illustrious Memorial - on a stormy night, 17th October 1948, 29 young men lost their lives when returning to their aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious, from a night out in Weymouth when their liberty boat capsized in Portland Harbour. Portland Marina is proud to be the home of a stunning Portland Stone carved memorial stone. The ceremony on October 17th 2010 unveiled the memorial in the presence of naval top brass, survivors and crew mates, and relatives of the crewmen lost in the disaster.
