The Boat That Rocks is a large facility which can have a lot happening inside and out. The downstairs restaurant can accommodate up to 120 guests sitting. Externally on the ground floor terrace we can see 200 – 300 covers through during a busy lunch on a summer’s day.

Linda, Sam and Jeni discuss new menu ideas
Since opening in July 2009 The Boat That Rocks has seen many faces come and go, but there are a few that have remained or do return for the Summer. The Boat is a seasonal venue which means that the front of house staff are mainly local students returning home to work throughout the Summer.
The TBTR Ltd Directors took the tenancy of The Boat That Rocks over in July 2011.
Linda joined The Boat That Rocks before it had its name! She has a big background in London restaurants and hotels. Linda has worked as a Chef de Rang at The Ivy, opening Restaurant Manager at The Wolseley and as the Food & Beverage Manager at The Covent Garden Hotel to name a few, so you are in good hands.
Jeni Pedley has been Duty Manager since opening and assists Linda in the running of The Boat.
Sam Holland who is the kitchens’ front man, has been with the team since day one. I think everyone will agree with us that he is doing a cracking job of running the kitchen since taking over the reins in August 2011.
